Now seriously, we cannot help you if you don't give us some leads.

Post as much information as possible:

* Actual URL's you're using.
* Configuration files
* Log files (even if you think nothing's there, there might be  
something you're not seeing)
* Platform (OS?, Kernel?, 32 or 64 bits? Linux?)
* PHP script you use to request the messages.

Try also running the boxes from the command line and see if anything  
shows there. Maybe you're hitting a sockets limit or something like  
that?
