Location for config files

I have installed kannel and have a question. When starting bearerbox which file does it look at (kannel.conf?)

Also, when I start bearerbox or smsbox...the [config-file] option does that have to be placed in a particular directory or can I give the full path?

There are example configs  but it mentiones core configs - which file do they go in?

Is there is a easy setup for basic testing.... Register a SMS Emulator to SMSBox and send Text out via 2 SMSc providers...
