[NEED HELP][CRITICAL] error in make

Hi All,
I am getting the following error when I try to do make (as an user, not root)

wmlscript/wmlsc.o:/usr/include/stdlib.h:403: first defined here
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [wmlscript/wmlsc] Error 1

./configure ran successfully without any error

Please help.
