Kannel build on OpenIndiana (Illumos)

Kannel Friends, 


Trying to build Kannel on OpenIndiana (Illumos), I've made (shoehorned!) this patch to gwuuid.c to sort out the fir_hwaddr issues at build - this bit seems to be working:

Next thing I'm running into is:

Have tried some experiments here, including pulling out the register declaration, to no avail.
