RE: Help Keep getting read() Timeout when tring to sendSMS

I've ony been running smsclient for a couple of weeks now, and also got the
warning message quoted below when I first installed the software.

I ended up fixing the issue by modifying the MDM_init_command in
/etc/smsclient/sms_modem:

MDM_init_command	=  "S7=45 S0=0 L1 X3 &C1 E1 Q0"

I'm using an old Maestro Executive external modem - your milegae may vary.
