The dial-up solution that I use here (with Swisscom) is essentially calling the
same SMS-center that you call when SMS'ing from a mobile.  It's even a mobile
number that I call.
I don't need to send that many SMS'es so it's not worth for me to buy a whole
block of hundreds or thousands.
