I have compiled sms_client on solaris 8 and attached an ISDN Modem to serial 
port b.
I can dail and access to modem using the command tip. Within tip I can lets 
ringing my mobile phone with AT commands ATDTmyhandymumber.

I'm using switzerlands provider swisscom. I know also that this type of 
commection is in alpha state.
Regardless of alpha or not I have the following symthoms.

The modem is dialing and after a while the following is printing out:

sms_client -l 4 Username "Test Messagei"

MODEM: Toggle DTR using ioctl() 1000000 Microseconds
MODEM: Toggle DTR using ioctl() 1000000 Microseconds
MDM_send: Drain required.
WARNING: read() Timeout

Has somebody any idea what's going on?
