Hello, after playing a bit with sms_client I found: 1. It works for D1 and Eplus without problems. 2. Using D2, after modem connection (modem gets silent and sends CONNECT string) nothing happens. sms_client runs into 30 sec timeout and dies. 3. I do not know the setup for O2. So I read the postings which stated that it did not matter which SMSC to use. This statement is, at least for Germany, obviously not correct. A have an old O2 phone card and tried out Eplus SMSC and D1 SMSC. sms_client always tells the message had been accepted for delivery but the message has not appeared after 2 days yet. 4. I also tried to use D1 SMSC for Eplus number. It also said the message had been accepted, but the message has never appeared at the Eplus phone. 5. I know T-Com also uses SMSC which can be setup in modern fixed net phones and can send SMS to all German phone networks. T-Com uses the number 0193010, and there is a second provider under the name AnnyWay 09003266900. But I do not know the protocol they use. Can it work with them? Does anyone know? 6. It only works with a plain old analog modem. Trying to use ISDN4LINUX modem emulation failed. sms_client did not dial at all (according to isdnlog) and I do not know why. Does anyone know what to do in order to get it work? Thank you very much. Frank -- -----------------------------------------------------------------------
