Hi all, In recent weeks I have been preparing a specification based on the original <itext> idea for associating time-aligned text with <video>. I now have some initial results. You can check the specification here: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Accessibility/HTML5_captions The demo is here: http://www.annodex.net/~silvia/itext/ And a detailed description of the experiment is here: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Accessibility/Experiment1_feedback I have received great feedback from Philip Jagenstedt, who is developing the <video> support at Opera. I wanted this list to see it before sending it on to WHATWG. If there is anything that is not comprehensible immediately, please speak up. Also, I am still trying to figure out what a better specification would look like. Philip's feedback is excellent, but integrating it is challenging. I am particularly looking for feedback on the idea of having an <itextlist> element to separate between the different categories of time-aligned text. And for feedback on the javascript API. Any feedback is very welcome! Best Regards, Silvia.
