I stopped using thunderbird more than a year ago when it seemed not to be able to send passwords to my gmail account anymore. It started with the outgoing, but after a while stopped receiving the pop3 msgs also. I was using the google mail notifier, and tried to get into the config files, but my edditing was of no avail/I did everything on- line for quite a while. N now I have another computer running t-bird 2.23. It started out just fine, but after I tried to install a usenet account along with my gmail it started rejecting my outgoing e-mail: asks for password that it has onboard, and even if I retype and say not to use password manager it keeps sending errors. I I keep getting promped for smpt password for another account I set up and promptlyy deleted too. There is no left over password in the passwordmanager that I can find, and I justtried to send my mail in safe mode-no luck. I am blind and use screenreaders. JAWS works pretty well with t- bird, but it doesn't read the errors "alerts". NVDA's prerelease ver. also works somewhat but the development snapshots never read text in msgs. Nvda at least let me know which password was requested, but Iam still really at a loss as to what to do, and mozilla has f'ing visual only captchas to register and ask in forums etc. Help! Please. Any word on new scripts for JAWS and T-bird? I could only find scripts for old vers of both JFW and t-bird. Burt Henry does anyone use this--http://www.vinux.org.uk/ if the only tool you have is a hammer you tend to see every problem as a nail.
