On June 11, 2002 mozilla.org made available for download binaries of
the Mozilla 1.1 Alpha Milestone.  The builds and release notes are
available at http://www.mozilla.org/releases/.  We've taken fixes for 
about 1700 bugs and new features since 1.0 branched including:

* Quartz rendering for users of Mac OS X 10.1.5
* Viewing HTML mail messages as plain text
* Quote original message
* Image blocking for Mail & News.
* Download Manager has many improvements.
* Layout performance enhancements targeted at DHTML.
* Performance enhancements for application startup.
* Viewsource for MathML and view source for selections.
* Support for the display of XBM images.
* Improved sort order for autocomplete.
* Browser tabs now close left to right.
* Button to create a new directory in the XP filepicker.
* Redundant backup of preferences files
* Many improvements to Mozilla's drag and drop.

and much, much more.
