[Camino] Text Symbols

Camino will not display certain text character symbols that Safari  
does display.  Since Safari displays the characters, they must be  
available on my computer.  I have tried changing text encoding from  
the menu's View yet they still do not display.  Any further  
ideas?     Denise K.
