When receiving web-based mail (specifically Novell WebAccess) with Camino, I cannot get .doc attachments to keep their extension even though they are saved as .doc and appear that way in the mail message. When I download the .doc attachment, it then appears on my desktop minus the extension and opens (as a default?) with Excel. -This is peculiar only to Camino because Safari downloads the same item as it is supposed to be, a .doc. -There is nothing in Camino's download preferences that covers this issue. Yes, I can "open with" and choose the application I want, but why doesn't Camino allow the attachment to retain its extension? -I did not see a bug report on this, but wanted to ask here first anyway. Any answers? Thank you. Denise K.
