As I'm sure you can tell from reading Bugzilla, there has been 
activity on that bug just this week.  We now know what Core change 
broke this in Camino, but as of yet we haven't figured out what it 
did to cause the breakage.

There's still a very easy work-around for this: grab Camino 1.0.6 
from http://caminobrowser.org/download/releases/#past , add your CAs 
and set the trust bits, and then switch back to 1.6.x.
