Organizer's participation status

Hi, we've recently noticed that events created by Lightning contain a PARTSTAT parameter in ORGANIZER property which isn't something that is allowed by RFC 5545. Other calendaring solutions solve this by adding an ATTENDEE property with the same identity as organizer. This way organizer's status can be tracked and it is valid. Is this a bug or a feature? Or is this something that calendar provider should solve (we have our custom provider so mybe this is the problem).
