I think a more rigorous analysis is needed in your case. Let me suggest you to make a table to list out different cases in the hope to see a pattern at the end. I suggest something like this: new or old URL | calID part before @ | calID part after @ | work or not ------------------------------------------------------------------------ new | #contacts | group.v.calendar.google.com | yes ....
