This is normal behavior with the nightly builds update.

You can always check <https://tbpl.mozilla.org/?tree=Thunderbird-Trunk> 
to see the current build status and in case of failure there are usual 
links to the corresponding bugs on top of that page.

Currently you see that nightly builds are failing but non-nightly builds 
seem to work. You can find the test builds in the usual location, e.g. 
<https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/calendar/lightning/tinderbox-builds/comm-central-win32/latest/> 
but it might be possible that they need a Thunderbird build from same day.
