One way to get a quick overview of the API changes is to look at the
changes we made to the public LDAP header files (I don't think we made 
any behavior changes other than those caused by bug fixes).  I posted a 
diff that shows the header file differences between the tags
ldapcsdk_5_17_client_branch and LDAPCSDK_6_0_RELEASE.  See:
