Historically, the Mozilla trunk has typically picked up a branch of the LDAP C-SDK cut from a trunk version. Last year we upgraded the Mozilla trunk from using version 5 to version 5.1.7, we're now thinking about picking up the latest version (6.0.2). Rather than creating a branch from the latest release, we'd like to use the static tag for this and future upgrades (like NSS does). This will minimise the work required to upgrade the LDAP c-sdk version (admittedly not much). I would also expect that we'll be looking to upgrade the LDAP C-SDK version more regularly. The current upgrade is being tracked in bug 359716 (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=359716). If you think there might be problems with changing how we pick up the LDAP C-SDK to a static tag, please let us know either here in the newsgroups or on the bug. Standard8
