TB LDAP address Cards writable ?

Hi,

I was googling to find a way to be able to "edit" contacts coming from
an LDAP server, in thunderbird. It seems there's no way at the moment.

I found bug 86405 which explain this fact...

I was asking myself if someone thought of hacking TB code in order to
insert LDAP edit + save functionality ?

Does anybody have a solution regarding this ?
