Error loading local XML file into XML DOM Document with FF3beta3

Is anyone else having issues loading a local XML file into an XML DOM 
document from within XPCOM using the latest Firefox 3 beta3?  This issue 
is driving me nuts and I'm looking for any possible workaround.
