i am unable to recreate it in a new profile.  but consistently if i copy 
in the existing problem profile. renaming the obvious like localstore or 
compreg isn't it.

so here is a minimal copy of a profile where it fails, may need to force 
install download statusbar via nightly tester, there are only 4 
extensions included.  in customize you will see 2 download icons, 
downbar is the one with 0:1 text.
