The OOPP (out-of-process plugins) behavior is controlled by preference 
values. Currently, those preferences are only enabled in the Firefox build, 
not in other applications. If you like, you can enable them and see what 
happens in your embedding: it shuold probably work, as long as the 
directories are set up correctly so that the plugin runtime executable is found.
