compiling for gtk2

Hello mozilla gurus,

 I am trying to recompile mozilla using gtk2.  I tried adding the options
--enable-toolkit-gtk2 --enable-toolkit-default=gtk2 --without-gtk 
--disable-toolkit-gtk, but it still looks for gtk 1.2+ via gtk-config, and 
if it's not there it errors out.  Is there an option I'm missing.  Oh I 
compiling 1.0.
