Is there anyone here using JavaXPCOM for custom XPCOM component access and not embedding mozilla

I just want to use JavaXPCOM to access custom written XPCOM components
that are completely standalone from mozilla, and I want to do this on
Windows and Linux platforms.

If you are doing this I'd love to hear from you because I am trying to
understand what the limitations are at this point - what others'
experiences have been.  I'd love to hear about the successes and the
pitfalls.
