Issues with exceptions not occuring consistently

Has anyone else seen code that just would not work until you close the browser and debugger and restart?
 
I am using the newest mozilla and venkman.
 
Also, there are exceptions that occur when debugging that do not (seem) to occur when running the code in the browser. Is this possible?
