That is already a DOMDocument, no need to parse anything.

Ok, let me take a guess here, depending on your output format, you want 
to load a dummy document in the content of the browser, use that dummy 
document as owner doc for transformToFragment and take it from there.

Note that it may be faster to factor as much as possible of the 
resulting DOM into the dummy doc.
