nsmail.eml

Hello;

I'm attempting to move a friend over to T-Bird from AppleMail.app. When
he sends e-mail he receives an error saying problem saving
'/tmp/nsmail.eml', check your temprorary directory settings.

He's on MacOS 10.1.5, I'm familiar with Unix, but not Apple's version of
it. I cannot find/change the environment variables on this system.
According to a search I did on MozillaZine's Forums, this is a problem
not only on the MacOS platform, but on Linux & Windoze as well, with some
users.

Anyone else had this problem, and/or can anyone offer a step-x-step on
how to resolve this? It's a shame, that he has to use an inferior
client, because of this. He's quite happy with T-Bird.
