Wow, not a single reply? Nobody's even got an opinion, let alone hard
and fast knowledge?

I've asked here and I've asked on the MozillaZine forums. Is there
anything else I can do? Anywhere else I can ask? I can't be the only
person in this situation, surely.

For the record then, Mac FireFox users in this situation ... it appears
the only answer is "go back to using 1.07" if you need to use the DOMi
and/or the full features of the Web Developer Toolbar.
