trouble with Applets

I'm using Netscape 7.02 on a Macintosh using MAC OS 9.2.2 I've never been able to get the CHAT room option to load in Yahoo Groups. The Java Applet never will load to create the room in my browser... works in Microsoft Explorer with not problem... Does anyone have any ideas on this problem?
