text not displaying properly in netscape

Using mac osx, The text doesn't display properly in Mail. It's like the
cursor doesn't keep up to the text and writes in a delayed fashion.. If
I switch to non-serif it seems to work, but it keeps switching back to
a serif font. It happens in html and regular mail settings.

Any ideas ?
