Have you tried bumping up the memory assigned to the application? (I assume that you are using OS 8.x or 9.x)

Both Netscape and Mozilla have needed this in the past. I don't know if your version still has the problem. It sems that all that memory needed for advertisements and complex graphics just is too much for the default settings.
