There is unconfirmed rumors that this version of Quicktime conflicts with Mozilla. There is a bug report about this issue. (http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=242297) Have a look at this bug and add a comment if you feel that the crashes you are having may be related. Thanks.
