Hi Tony, I've noticed that this problem happens to me when there is more than one entry in my profiles.ini file in ~/Library/Thunderbird ... weird that it still happens to you when your remove the ~/Library/Thunderbird directory entirely, so this problem probably isn't what your facing, but it's worth a try ... anyway ... here's a copy of a 'clean' (1 profile profile.ini entry) .. i'm not sure if this is what's happening to you, but here it is anyway .. ------ [General] StartWithLastProfile=1 [Profile0] Name=default IsRelative=1 Path=Profiles/default.dw4 ------ of course you'd have to change your Path dirctive to point to your 'salted' default directory ... -steve
