I have a G4 (450 upgraded in a 1.4 Ghz) witha Geforce 2 mx, 512Mo,
Panther last update.

Firefox est slow with some sites (not all of them), in particular all
thoses with lots of things to display.

The famous french news site macgeneration.com has a quite eavy page in
the "actualités" section. This page has a very poor scrolling
performance with my Mac. This same page in very speed on the PIII 600 of
my father.

I have tried the X11 port of Firefox once : the speed is good too ! Many
pages are slow compared to Safari or Opera, even if some are faster with
Firefox (but they are rare to me).

So, clearly, firefox is NOT optimized on Mac Os X (native).

It is usable with my 1.4Ghz horsepower, but it was unbearably slow on
the 450 Mhz.

In short terms : scrolling are slow on relatively big pages, but others
thing are slow like mouse gesture extension (compared to a P4 2.6 Ghz).
