Difference between Mac and PC version with Flash Plugin

I'm running the latest build of firefox on Mac and PC, and tried to
script the Macromedia Flash Player plugin.  (I used the SetVariable
function, and receive back an FSCommand notification.)

This worked beautifully on the PC version of Firefox / flash plugin.
With the Mac versions, I received errors that the functions did not
exist.

Does anyone know if the Mac version of Firefox is behind, or if the
flash plugin is?

Does anyone know a way to query a plugin and see what functions it
exposes (this might help me narrow down whether its the plugin or
Firefox).
