Crash on clicking external link

On the same Mac running Mac OS X v10.3.9 and Netscape 7.2, one user has no problems, but another can't click on any link that would trigger a download or open an external application without Netscape crashing. We've already tried permissions repair, but it didn't help. Anything else that might trigger this user-specific behavior? Thanks, Mike
