Mac OS X "Write Anywhere" Ink feature not fullly capable in Firefox and Thunderbir

I use Mac OS X's "Wirte Anywhere" Ink feature to write messages in just
about every application with my Wacom tablet. It works almost
flawlessly.

The only exceptions are Firefox and Thunderbird. I've run into this
problem where I'll write a word, but only the first letter is delivered
to the Mozilla application.

Has anyone else run into this problem, and more importantly, if they
have a fix!
