Create or edit ~/.mozilla/firefox/rc so that it contains MOZ_DIZABLE_PANGO=1 ------------ Also if you haven't done it install the Bakoma CM fonts, the Mathematica 4.1 fonts and the Symbol font from Acrobat Reader as per usual recommendations.
