Sorry if I'm a little thick, but where on that page is the answer to my question (why MathML-only XML is not rendered correctly)? As aside, why should I include an SGML-style DOCTYPE declaration and specify a DTD? A user agent should not need to validate a given document (Mozilla does not), and my pages does not contain any character entities. Thanks, Justus
