I think this list is mainly for mozilla-specific issues rather than general mathml questions (which are always welcome on www-math'w3.org) The advice from the working group has always been that the preferred mathml markup is <mrow><mi>a</mi><mo>'</mo></msup>. Although since most fonts have a raised prime in the font, missing out the msup may look OK, it less acutrately reflects the structure. > "a-prime" was a single entity, a variable in its own right. Usually (often?) in mathematics that is not the case, primes and diacritics generally, deote some mathematical operation being applied to the base.
