There's been a good bit of work on MathML since then to keep it working after the switch to cairo and the reflow branch landing (mostly by Karl Tomlinson, I think). I think this means your message's subject is an overstatement. However, I don't think there's been much, if any, new feature work on MathML, although I might be missing something. -David -- L.
