Hi All Having completed a couple of downloads without the download completed noise I opened Edit, Preferences, Downloads to see if I had lost a setting. No, the setting Play a sound is checked. I clicked the Play button: No noise. I also checked the new mail notification having just realised that I had not heard that either. That is checked but clicking Play produces No noise. Even worse: After closing Seamonkey I thought I'd have a quick game of Klondike. I thought wrong as Klondike would not start. My guess is that attempting to Play the Seamonkey alerts has "jammed up" mmos2 as I seem to have lost all system sounds and mplayer/smplayer seems to get stuck attempting playback of any video file selected. A reboot resolved the problem. A retest of the Seamonkey audible alerts caused the same problems requiring another reboot. The question is: Is this just my system or is it a common problem with a bug report already filed? Regards Pete
