I don't see that here, just a steady moderately high CPU load (10-15% on 
both cores).
You could try playing with layout_frame_rate, which should now be set to 
zero by default. Unluckily Mozilla has made some weird decisions about 
compositing and it is even worse for us as we have no access to the 
video drivers vsync signals.
Were you running the previous 2.49.9?
