Is Flash working for you? Did you update Odin with the version in the 
experimental repository? It's needed as well there is an update to the 
Flash wrapper at 
https://github.com/bitwiseworks/flashwrapper/commit/87f365269ce171eaf690f8c4dc0d4539952545b2 
not sure about a binary.

Shame that removing Chatzilla didn't help. Have you tried in safe mode?
There's a ticket open for repeating/stuck sound on github, 
https://github.com/bitwiseworks/mozilla-os2/issues/230 though it seems 
the opposite of your problem.
