With either software you only do a full backup once. After is incremental. Rsync only copies the part of file that has
changed, but it has to calculate the missing part. Dsync copies the entire file that was modified, on local drives is actually
faster than rsync. Further the version of rsync used did not always delete what it should. After some time it was not a
mirror image. Dsync has a simple config file. Backup done within 3 minutes on usb 2.0

Will search for above, current version gives a demonstration of how a 286 performed.

Use Warpin, save datbas_D.ini re-install Warpin, copy database file and it should function again.

Yes send ks.exe, here is what I use for that:

d:\program\typerate 40 200
d:\program\mouspeed 4 2 7 4

40 repetitions, mouse a lot faster

Why would one continually backup files that did not change? You prefer wearing hard drives out?

> migrate the Adress Book and Mail&Newsgroups, i.e. which parameters must be entered to do the job?

Below is what have for parameters:

Usage: firefox [-flags] [<url>]
-height <value> Set height of startup window to <value>
-h or -help Print this message
-width <value> Set width of startup window to <value>
-v or -version Print Firefox version
-P <profile> Start with <profile>
-ProfileManager Start with profile manager
-UILocale <locale> Start with <locale> resources as UI Locale
-contentLocale <locale> Start with <locale> resources as content Locale
-console Start Firefox with a debugging console
-jsconsole Open the JavaScript console
-browser Open a browser window
/safe-mode

Do not recall which version above was from, may be version 2. firefox -h on your version may assist. As for migration, if
you copy all the files from a previous profile and 1 file is corrupted, would you expect new profile to have same
corruption? You mentioned Sent file does not function. Then that may be the corrupt file.

If I was doing this, would create a new profile, then copy files 1 at a time to find the corrupted one. Unless you believe
prefs.js is the problem.

abook.mab is address book
dat files may need to be copied.
\Mail directory would only copy files manually 1 at a time, probably here where the bad file located.
