how to save passwords for https sites with password manager?

I have searched, and I can't find any setting that will make password
manager save my username and password for automatic form-fillout in
https sites. It works fine with http sites, but doesn't prompt or
allow me to save info for https sites.

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated!
