No proxy for local addresses

Hi,

I guess this question might have been asked before -- but I didn't
find any satisfactory answer on a search of the newsgroup.

I want to set no proxy for hosts on the local subnet -- say 172.31.*.*
-- IE allows me to write 172.31.* -- but the same thing doesnt work on
Mozilla.

Any suggestions?
