Forget about importing the preference file -- you'd be better off
creating a new profile and choosing/setting your prefs manually.

For the address book, unfortunately you should have exported it in a
LDIF file *before* uninstalling Communicator 4.79.

In my case I was able to locate a machine around that still had
Communicator 4.7x installed, created a temp profile on it and copied
over my *.nab address book files, export a LDIF file from it with the
information I needed, and deleted this temp profile...

Importing the LDIF file into Mozilla should be a no-brainer.

PS: why use Mozilla 1.1 ?
Stable is 1.0.2, development branch is 1.2.1 or soon 1.3beta...
