Font list in prefs panel

I want to purge the font list displayed in prefs panel popups.
Actually, this list is obsolete for my config, since it contains fonts 
that have been removed from my system (I recently installed a new Linux 
Mandrake 9.1).

Who knows where is the font list saved. I can't find anything in chrome 
or profile files (RDF or other).
